Finance Manager – FMCG Industry

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for a reputable agro company operating in the FMCG sector in Nepal. The role ensures timely preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, budgeting, and compliance with tax and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow and notes to accounts.
• Produce accurate MIS and management reports, perform variance analysis against budget, and support decision‑making.
• Assist in annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and monitor departmental expenditures.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensure timely collections, vendor payments and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee cash‑flow planning, working‑capital management and coordinate with banks on routine matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in finance and accounts, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Semi‑CA, Master in Finance or equivalent qualification.
• Proactive, analytical professional with strong communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting software.
• Understanding of taxation, VAT, TDS and statutory compliance.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements independently.
