Freight Forwarder

About the role

Jiwanta Dhuwani And Agent Service is seeking a Freight Forwarder to manage and coordinate international shipments from origin to destination. The role requires strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, shipping documentation, customs coordination, and excellent communication skills to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate air, sea, road, and multimodal freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Handle end‑to‑end freight forwarding operations and shipment coordination.
• Communicate with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs agents, and customers.
• Obtain and compare freight quotations from carriers and overseas agents.
• Book cargo with shipping lines, airlines, and other carriers.
• Prepare, verify, and manage shipping and freight documentation (BL, AWB, DO, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.).
• Monitor shipment status, track ETD/ETA, and provide timely updates.
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure timely cargo release.
• Manage inland transportation, cargo pickup, delivery, and warehouse operations.
• Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, damages, and shortages.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, quotations, freight rates, and invoices.
• Liaise with Finance for freight invoices, vendor payments, and customer billing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics or international trade.
• Good knowledge of international freight forwarding procedures and multimodal transportation.
• Familiarity with shipping and customs documentation.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with freight‑forwarding software or ERP systems is an advantage.
