Functional Consultant – Business & Accounting Solutions

About the role

The Functional Consultant will bridge business and accounting needs with technology solutions, ensuring clients receive effective, user‑friendly systems. You will work directly with customers to analyse processes, configure applications and provide ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and accounting requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Assist in the implementation, configuration and post‑go‑live support of solutions.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their processes and deliver tailored recommendations.
• Provide functional troubleshooting, guidance and training to end‑users.
• Use SQL for basic data analysis, reporting and issue resolution.
• Coordinate tasks across multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations, demonstrations and training sessions.
• Work with technical and functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools and evolving business processes.
• Maintain high performance under pressure and tight timelines.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and software applications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and client‑facing skills.
• Professional appearance and strong organizational abilities.
• Multilingual proficiency in English, Nepali and Hindi.
• Proven capability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• SQL (basic to intermediate level).
