Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to lead field‑based investigations, slope stability assessments, and construction material testing across various projects in Nepal. The role involves delivering technical recommendations, supervising on‑site activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise soil and rock investigations, field testing, sampling, and data collection.
• Perform slope stability analyses and propose protection, stabilization, and mitigation measures.
• Prepare technical calculations, analysis reports, and material testing plans.
• Monitor testing and construction activities to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
• Supervise slope stabilization works such as drilling, soil nailing, rock bolting, grouting, shotcrete, and drainage installations.
• Provide technical support for road settlement treatment, landslide mitigation, and road reinstatement.
• Develop site mobilization plans and coordinate investigation and testing activities.
• Calculate and review design mix proportions for cement concrete and asphalt concrete.
• Oversee laboratory testing, quality control, and equipment calibration schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Proven ability to manage field investigations and supervise on‑site works.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, specifications, and standard practices.
