Group Legal Counsel (On‑Site Representative)

About the role

The Group Legal Counsel will act as the on‑site legal representative for the company and all its subsidiaries, handling the full lifecycle of legal matters from police reporting to court litigation. This position ensures regulatory compliance, mitigates legal risk, and provides strategic advice to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with police agencies, register FIRs, and manage investigations for all business units.
• Represent the company in District, Appellate and other courts, attending all scheduled hearings and maintaining a comprehensive case calendar.
• Draft, review and file legal documents such as plaints, statements, rejoinders, petitions and applications.
• Manage receipt of court summons and date warrants, ensuring timely responses and appearances.
• Prepare and register Powers of Attorney (Akhtiyari) in compliance with the Civil Procedure Code.
• Initiate legal actions against external parties for breaches, and defend the company against third‑party claims.
• Conduct thorough investigations of incident reports, legal notices and disputes submitted by any business unit.
