Head of Sales & Marketing (Healthcare Diagnostics)

About the role

The Head of Sales & Marketing will drive revenue growth, market expansion and brand visibility for a healthcare diagnostics business. Reporting to senior management, the role oversees strategy, execution and team performance across multiple sales verticals.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale collection centre networks, franchise models and High‑Level Medical (HLM) partnerships, negotiating commercial terms and monitoring performance.
• Develop doctor engagement and referral programmes, strengthen relationships with clinics, hospitals and specialty practices, and lead medico‑marketing initiatives such as CMEs and test education.
• Acquire and manage corporate health‑check contracts, lead tendering, empanelment and RFP processes for banks, pharma companies, factories, PSUs and government bodies.
• Plan and execute BTL activities including health camps, awareness drives and CMEs, ensuring lead capture, data quality and post‑event follow‑ups.
• Lead, mentor and set targets for field sales teams, reviewing territory‑wise performance and driving KPI‑focused results.

Required profile

• Senior leader with proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably within healthcare diagnostics.
• Strong networking capability and trade‑relationship management skills.
• Expertise in institutional and corporate sales, including tendering and contract management.
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute BTL initiatives and medico‑marketing programmes.
• Results‑oriented with a track record of meeting KPIs such as revenue contribution, sample volume and contract renewal rates.
