Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Hotel Dachi, a heritage‑inspired hotel in Bhaktapur, Nepal, is looking for a full‑time Housekeeping Supervisor to lead its housekeeping team. The role is based on‑site and focuses on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and monitor daily cleaning tasks for the housekeeping staff.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
• Oversee laundry operations, manage linen inventory, and ensure quality control.
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and equipment.
• Train new team members, provide performance feedback, and manage work schedules.
• Coordinate with the front office and other departments to respond promptly to guest requests.
• Enforce health, safety, and hygiene procedures and support sustainable housekeeping practices.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in hotel or resort housekeeping.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, room inspections, and maintenance reporting.
• Experience handling laundry processes and inventory management.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with housekeeping or hotel management systems.
• Formal training or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
