HR Trainee – Human Resources Internship

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Trainee to support our people operations team. This short‑term program offers hands‑on exposure to core HR functions, from onboarding to payroll support, while you develop a solid foundation for a future HR career.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in onboarding new hires, prepare offer letters, orientation materials and facilitate induction sessions.
• Support payroll coordination, track leave, and maintain attendance records using digital HR tools.
• Help organise employee engagement activities, internal communications and HR policy awareness campaigns.
• Collaborate with HR leads to update employee databases, maintain personnel files and ensure compliance documentation.
• Conduct basic HR research such as compensation benchmarking, turnover analysis and employee feedback gathering.
• Participate in recruitment support by screening resumes, scheduling interviews and maintaining candidate pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Basic understanding of Nepali labour law and performance appraisal systems is a plus.
• Motivation to learn HR processes and contribute to a people‑first culture.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel – data entry, basic formulas, pivot tables.
• Google Workspace – Docs, Sheets, Forms.
