Individual National Consultancy – Training Facilitator – Nutrition

About the role

UNICEF Nepal is seeking an experienced consultant to design and facilitate a three‑day Master Training of Trainers on nutrition‑focused Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) in Kathmandu. The role supports the national SBC Capacity Development Plan and the Multi‑Sector Nutrition Plan III by building a pool of skilled professionals who can cascade nutrition SBC interventions to provincial and local levels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a competency‑based SBC training package tailored to nutrition programmes.
• Facilitate interactive training sessions for government and partner participants.
• Guide participants in analysing behavioural drivers and designing context‑specific SBC interventions.
• Support monitoring of behaviour‑change outcomes and institutionalisation of SBC within multi‑sector nutrition systems.
• Provide technical input for subsequent provincial Training of Trainers events.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Rural Development, Communications, Public Health or related social science.
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing and delivering SBC capacity‑building programmes.
• Proven experience with behavioural science, social norms analysis, participatory facilitation, nutrition programming, equity‑focused approaches and working within government systems.
