Internal Audit & Compliance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Audit & Compliance Specialist to join our team in Kathmandu. You will act as the primary liaison between auditors and business units, ensuring audit processes are efficiently coordinated and compliance standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage internal and external audit engagements.
• Develop and maintain the annual internal audit calendar.
• Review audit findings, monitor progress, and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Track corrective and preventive actions and follow up with departments.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, internal controls, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational risks, control gaps, and process inefficiencies.
• Assist in strengthening internal control systems across business functions.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accountability.
• Help develop, review, and improve policies, SOPs, and internal control frameworks.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote governance, compliance, and operational performance.
• Prepare periodic reports and dashboards on audit status, compliance performance, and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in audit, compliance, operations, risk management, or process improvement.
• CA qualification (semi‑qualified or fully qualified) preferred.
