Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will join Kantipur Management Private Limited’s finance team in Bagmati, Nepal. This full‑time, on‑site position supports day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records and ledgers.
• Prepare accurate monthly and ad‑hoc financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices, payments and receipts in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with internal and external financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with Nepal VAT and TDS regulations.
• Support the finance team with various accounting tasks and month‑end closing activities.

Required profile

• BBS or BBA degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping and transaction recording.
• Familiarity with Nepal VAT and TDS regulations.
• Experience in trading, retail or import‑related accounting is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally ERP or a comparable ERP system.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
