Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the day‑to‑day accounting operations of the organization. This entry‑level position involves handling invoices, verifying payments, managing petty cash, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices accurately and on time.
• Verify payments and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage billing activities and keep customer billing records up to date.
• Record and reconcile petty cash transactions.
• Enter and maintain inventory records in the accounting system.
• Assist in maintaining books of accounts and related financial documentation.
• Perform data entry ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
• Support month‑end and year‑end accounting activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (currently pursuing or completed).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, billing, invoicing, or related finance functions.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with invoicing, billing, and payment verification processes.
