Junior Civil Engineer / Civil Overseer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Civil Engineer / Civil Overseer to lead the execution, supervision, and technical monitoring of our upcoming factory establishment project. Based in our Kathmandu office, you will split your time between office tasks and frequent site visits to ensure high‑quality construction delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and draft detailed CAD drawings, floor plans, and layout revisions using AutoCAD.
• Review and cross‑check structural drawings, fabrication details, and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for accurate site execution.
• Develop comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ), perform quantity take‑offs, and produce cost estimations for civil and structural works.
• Deliver clear technical presentations on project status, execution plans, and site updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site visits to supervise daily construction activities, inspect workmanship, and enforce quality and safety standards.
• Track site tasks against baseline schedules, maintain progress logs, measurement books, and photographic documentation.
• Inspect raw materials, concrete mix ratios, rebar placement, and steel truss fabrication to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate daily tasks with contractors, sub‑contractors, site labor, and senior management to resolve technical issues promptly.

Required profile

• Approximately 4 years of experience in civil engineering or construction supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong coordination skills between office and field operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
