Junior Contract and Marketing Engineer

About the role

The Junior Contract and Marketing Engineer will support the Contract & Marketing Department of China Railway No. 2 Engineering Group in Kathmandu. This position offers hands‑on experience in contract administration, project documentation and business development for large civil infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing contractual correspondence, notices, claims and variation documents.
• Support review of project reports, schedules, payment certificates and other contractual documents.
• Maintain records of contractual communications, project documents and contract registers.
• Coordinate with project teams to collect information and monitor contractual matters.
• Help prepare subcontract documents and other contract‑related paperwork.
• Participate in bid preparation by reviewing tender documents, compiling submission files and conducting basic contract analysis.
• Monitor upcoming project opportunities and aid marketing and business development activities.
• Attend meetings, draft minutes and perform other tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration or related fields.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documents.
• Good communication skills for interaction with project teams and senior managers.
• Proactive attitude towards learning contract and marketing processes.
