Kitchen Intern – Hands‑on Experience in Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Kitchen Intern will work full‑time on‑site at The Soaltee Resort, supporting daily kitchen operations in a luxury hotel environment. This position offers practical, hands‑on exposure to food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with mise en place, food preparation, and basic cooking tasks for all meal periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Help with plating, presentation, and inventory checks under supervision.
• Organise ingredients and supplies, and support proper storage of inventory.

Required profile

• Interest in culinary arts or hospitality with a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen tools; prior internship or training is a plus.
• Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness, following hotel and regulatory standards.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Enrollment in or completion of a hospitality, culinary, or related program preferred.
• Availability for full‑time on‑site work, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
