Manager Executive – Restaurants

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Manager Executive to lead multiple restaurant outlets in Kathmandu, including Philly and Burger (Maharajgung) and a Bistro in Boudha, with additional locations planned. The role focuses on building a strong, self‑sufficient team and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit cooks, chefs, wait staff, bar staff, kitchen helpers, cleaners and supervisors as needed.
• Maintain a network within the hospitality industry for quick replacement of staff.
• Conduct practical interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring decisions.
• Handle discipline, issue warnings, and manage termination when performance standards are not met.
• Train and mentor restaurant supervisors on SOPs, opening/closing procedures, stock handling, waste control, and customer service.
• Monitor inventory, portion control, stock wastage and unusual discrepancies.
• Review customer feedback, address recurring issues, and improve service quality.
• Identify partnership, catering and corporate opportunities to boost visibility and sales.
• Maintain accurate revenue and expense records for management review.
• Visit outlets regularly to inspect food quality, hygiene, staff behavior and SOP compliance.
• Lead pre‑opening activities for new restaurants, including full team recruitment, orientation, vendor coordination and operational readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple restaurant outlets.
• Proven ability to recruit, train and retain hospitality staff.
• Strong disciplinary and performance‑management skills.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to work independently without relying on owners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of restaurant SOPs and operational standards.
• Experience with inventory control and waste management.
• Familiarity with staff recruitment and training processes.
