Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Himal General Construction is looking for two motivated Mechanical Engineers to join our team in Kathmandu and Dhulikhel. You will be responsible for designing, supervising, maintaining, and improving mechanical systems across our construction projects while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings and technical specifications using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and technical analyses.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues and equipment failures.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with production, electrical, civil, and procurement teams.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and material requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and project documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in construction.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
