About the role
The Operation Theatre Nurse supports surgical teams by preparing the theatre, assisting during procedures, and monitoring patients throughout the surgical process. This role is essential for maintaining a safe, sterile environment and ensuring high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced hospital setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare the operation theatre and sterilize all surgical equipment.
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operations.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical supplies and patient care.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.
- Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment properly.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Required profile
- Minimum of 24 months (2 years) experience working in an operating theatre.
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and adherence to hospital protocols.
