Operations Director

About the role

The Operations Director will act as the operational engine for Award Global’s Kathmandu office, driving business growth, operational excellence, and organisational performance with a CEO‑mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Kathmandu office, overseeing all departments and ensuring efficient day‑to‑day functioning.
• Develop and execute local operational strategies aligned with the Group’s global vision.
• Manage budgets, operational costs, and resource allocation to maintain financial discipline.
• Provide leadership for HR, recruitment, telemarketing, and other functional teams, establishing KPIs and performance tracking.
• Champion the company culture, fostering accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
• Identify business development opportunities, monitor key metrics and ensure revenue and growth targets are met.
• Maintain compliance with local regulations, labour laws and company policies, and mitigate operational risks.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, BPO or service‑based industries.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role such as General Manager, Country Manager or Operations Director.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, operational efficiency and managing multi‑functional teams.
• Experience working with international stakeholders and reporting to executive leadership.
• Experience establishing, scaling or leading outsourcing/BPO operations is highly desirable.
