Outbound Manager – International Travel Operations

About the role

The Outbound Manager will lead Silk Holidays’ outbound travel operations, overseeing the design, promotion and delivery of international tour packages. This role combines client relationship management, supplier negotiation and team leadership to drive growth in the outbound segment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and manage outbound tour packages (FIT, GIT and customized itineraries).
• Handle client inquiries, provide quotations and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
• Build and maintain relationships with international DMCs, hotels, airlines and other vendors.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with overseas suppliers.
• Coordinate visa documentation and guide clients through visa processes.
• Ensure smooth execution of tours from booking to post‑travel follow‑up, including group, corporate and MICE bookings.
• Monitor market trends, competitor packages and pricing to keep offerings competitive.
• Prepare and manage sales targets, budgets and reports for the outbound business.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional campaigns.
• Handle customer complaints and maintain high client satisfaction.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff in the outbound department.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of experience in outbound travel operations or related tourism sales.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
• Knowledge of international travel regulations and entry requirements.
