Partnerships and Communications Officer

About the role

The Partnerships and Communications Officer will support Samaanta Foundation’s mission to provide higher‑education fellowships to underserved Nepali students. Reporting to the Director of Programs, the role combines partnership development, external communications, and fundraising to strengthen the organization’s impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage external communications with all partners and oversee digital platforms, including the website and social media channels.
• Maintain and expand partnerships with education institutions, public sector bodies, development agencies, and corporate stakeholders.
• Develop funding proposals and lead fundraising activities at national and international levels.
• Design and implement a comprehensive communications strategy.
• Prepare quarterly and bi‑annual reports for funders and partners.
• Strengthen the mentorship and internship programmes, including mentor recruitment and volunteer coordination.
• Support fellowship experience planning, mentoring teams and action communities of Fellows.
• Lead additional strategic initiatives as directed by the Board of Directors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in partnerships, communications, or related fields, preferably within NGOs or education sectors.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
