Program Director

About the role

Samaanta Foundation seeks a driven Program Director to lead its flagship higher‑education fellowship program for meritorious students from underserved communities in Nepal. This senior, full‑time position will shape strategy, oversee implementation, and ensure the holistic development and welfare of Fellows.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Board to refine vision, set strategic priorities, and develop annual budgets.
• Oversee all program components, including selection, academic support, language and computer training, civic engagement, mentorship, and alumni relations.
• Manage staff, monitor performance, and build effective systems and processes.
• Lead monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to demonstrate impact.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners, donors, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in education or non‑profit sectors.
• Proven leadership ability with a self‑sufficient, results‑oriented mindset.
• Strong commitment to the organization’s values and continuous learning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
