Project Manager – PROSPER

About the role

The Project Manager – PROSPER will lead the design, implementation and adaptive management of the PROSPER project in Nepal. Reporting to the Signature Program Director, the role coordinates technical partners, implementing agencies and farmer organizations to deliver high‑quality, timely and budget‑compliant results across multiple districts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project set‑up, planning, budgeting and expenditure tracking in line with PMD Pro standards.
• Monitor project performance, ensure KPI achievement and produce regular reports following Heifer’s MELS framework.
• Manage and mentor project staff and partners, ensuring work plans are executed efficiently.
• Coordinate technical and implementing partners, strengthen their capacity and foster private‑sector engagement.
• Oversee selection and engagement of cooperatives, farmer groups and other local stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance, quality assurance and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing development or agricultural projects in a multi‑partner environment.
• Strong analytical and evidence‑based decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to travel extensively (minimum 70% of the time) across project sites.

Required skills

• Familiarity with PMD Pro project management methodology.
• Experience using monitoring and evaluation frameworks such as Heifer’s MELS.
