Project Officer – Training (PROSPER Project)

About the role

The Project Officer – Training will lead the design, planning and delivery of training activities for the PROSPER project in Nepal. Working across Surkhet, Bardiya, Bake and Dang, the officer will strengthen cooperatives, partner staff and smallholder farmers in financial, business and digital literacy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement training curricula and coaching plans for project staff, partners, cooperatives, Bank Saathis and farmers.
• Deliver capacity‑building programmes that improve financial inclusion, market linkage and enterprise development.
• Mobilise digital facilitators to help farmers adopt tools such as GeoKrishi Farm for farm management and loan applications.
• Mentor cooperatives and Bank Saathis to enhance financial service outreach and investment readiness.
• Prepare training materials, presentations, handouts and manuals covering financial literacy, business development and value‑chain strengthening.
• Identify agricultural cooperatives and farmer clusters for technical assistance and support their access to productive infrastructure.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time and work onsite in the assigned districts.
• Experience in designing and delivering training programmes in an agricultural or rural development context.
• Ability to coordinate with project teams, financial institutions, market actors and technical partners.
