Project MEAL Coordinator – DRR & Humanitarian Response

About the role

The Project MEAL Coordinator will lead Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities for disaster risk reduction (DRR) and humanitarian response in WVI Nepal’s project districts. Based in the National Office in Lalitpur, this one‑year fixed‑term role ensures high‑quality project delivery through robust data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality monitoring systems, including digital tools and standards.
• Analyze project data using CommCare and Power BI dashboards to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct and coordinate monitoring visits with stakeholders and local government.
• Plan and manage post‑distribution monitoring (PDM) and prepare comprehensive PDM reports.
• Provide technical guidance to partner NGO MEAL officers and ensure compliance with rapid needs assessments, beneficiary verification, and feedback mechanisms.
• Lead outcome monitoring, data collection, analysis, and documentation to report against project objectives.

Required profile

• Experience in MEAL functions within DRR or humanitarian disaster response contexts.
• Ability to oversee partner NGOs and coordinate multi‑stakeholder monitoring activities.
• Strong analytical skills for data review and decision‑making.
