Project Officer

About the role

The Project Officer will support the delivery of a climate communication project, ensuring activities are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role reports to the Project Manager and involves coordination with donors, partners, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with project coordination, including work planning, financial management, and liaison with donors and partners.
• Produce regular project reports, track activities against timelines, and update project calendars and milestones.
• Provide administrative and logistical support, organise meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action points.
• Support the design of new projects, contribute to fundraising proposals, and help identify business opportunities.

Required profile

• University degree in media, communications, development studies, environmental science, agriculture, business or related field.
• Minimum four years of experience designing and managing development projects, preferably in weather, climate or agricultural communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali.
• Strong team player able to manage relationships and work collaboratively in a diverse environment.

Required skills

• Proven ability to develop and implement project management tools and track activities.
• Experience preparing project reports and deliverables.
