Purchase Head – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Purchase Head to lead procurement activities for our manufacturing operations in Lipani, Birgunj. The role focuses on sourcing reliable suppliers, ensuring quality compliance, and aligning purchases with production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard cost‑effective suppliers while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve favorable pricing and service levels.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to verify that all purchased goods meet required specifications before order approval.
• Synchronize procurement plans with inventory levels and production timelines to prevent stock outs or excess inventory.
• Conduct regular market analysis, benchmark prices, and propose cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors, banks, and customs agents to ensure smooth order processing, documentation, and timely delivery.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the office environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a purchase or procurement leadership role within a manufacturing or similar industry.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, inventory management, and customs logistics.
