Purchase Head – Manufacturing

About the role

The company is seeking a dynamic Purchase Head to lead its procurement function within a manufacturing environment. The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring that all purchases meet quality and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard reliable, cost‑effective suppliers while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Negotiate favorable terms and ensure strategic sourcing aligned with quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to verify compliance with specifications before approving purchase orders.
• Synchronize procurement activities with inventory levels and production schedules to prevent stock imbalances.
• Conduct regular market analysis, benchmark prices across vendors and regions, and pinpoint cost‑saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with vendors, banks, and customs agents to ensure smooth order processing, documentation, and timely delivery.
• Maintain housekeeping standards within the office environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Purchase Head or in a comparable procurement role within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
• Strong understanding of quality compliance, inventory management, and logistics.
