Purchase Head – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Purchase Head to lead procurement activities for our manufacturing operations in Lipani, Birgunj. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable, cost‑effective suppliers while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to verify compliance with specifications before approving purchase orders.
• Align procurement plans with inventory levels and production schedules to prevent stock imbalances.
• Maintain office housekeeping standards and oversee documentation related to customs and logistics.
• Conduct regular market analysis, benchmark prices, and negotiate better terms to achieve cost savings.
• Coordinate with vendors, banks, and customs agents to ensure smooth order processing and timely deliveries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement leadership role.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, inventory control, and logistics requirements.
