Purchase Head – Manufacturing

About the role

The company is seeking a dynamic Purchase Head to lead procurement activities for its manufacturing operations in Lipani, Birgunj. You will be responsible for sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring that all purchases meet quality and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable, cost‑effective suppliers while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to verify compliance with specifications before approving purchase orders.
• Align procurement schedules with inventory levels and production plans to prevent stock imbalances.
• Conduct regular market analysis, benchmark prices, and negotiate better terms to achieve cost savings.
• Coordinate with vendors, banks, and customs agents to ensure smooth order processing, documentation, and timely delivery.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the office environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and strategic sourcing.
• Experience with market analysis and price benchmarking.
• Familiarity with customs and logistics documentation.
