Sales & Service Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Sales & Service Engineer to join our dynamic diesel generator company in Kathmandu. The role combines B2B sales, technical consulting and after‑sales support for power generation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle for diesel generators and backup power systems, from lead generation to closing and hand‑over.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and volume targets.
• Conduct field visits, site surveys and client meetings across industrial, commercial and infrastructure sectors.
• Provide technical consultations, load analyses and comparative product studies to help clients select the optimal genset.
• Prepare and present technical‑commercial proposals, quotations and equipment comparisons.
• Coordinate with technical teams for installation planning, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Manage after‑sales service, annual maintenance contracts, spare‑parts supply and warranty claims.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with consultants, contractors and facility‑management firms.
• Update CRM records, sales pipeline reports and forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electro‑Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical sales or business development for generators or power‑generation equipment.
• Experience in equipment service or field service engineering is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel extensively for client site visits.

Required skills

• Knowledge of diesel engines, alternators and control panels.
• Ability to perform electrical load calculations.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office for reporting.
