About the role

Millsberry International School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary English Teacher to join its faculty in Kathmandu. The role focuses on delivering a robust English curriculum that develops students' analytical and communicative abilities, following the Cambridge English framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge English Curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
• Design and administer formative and summative assessments in line with Cambridge objectives.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student academic growth.
• Maintain accurate assessment records, student portfolios, and academic reports.
• Organise classroom resources to create a positive learning environment.
• Motivate students through interactive teaching methodologies and uphold classroom discipline.
• Participate in curriculum planning, moderation meetings, and departmental activities.
• Support English‑related extracurricular activities such as debates, writing competitions, and drama programs.
• Attend parent‑teacher meetings and communicate student progress effectively.
• Engage in continuous professional development related to Cambridge English pedagogy.

Required profile

• Experienced secondary English teacher with at least 60 months of teaching experience.
• Enthusiastic and committed to fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Ability to implement Cambridge English curriculum and assessment standards.
