Senior Accountant – Full‑time, On‑site in Kathmandu

About the role

The college is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team on a full‑time, on‑site basis in Kathmandu. You will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and perform month‑end close activities.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare, review, and present financial statements.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with tax calculations, filings, and regulatory reporting.
• Analyze financial data and produce management reports.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with junior staff to deliver high‑quality client service.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience; experience in an educational institution is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of local tax laws, regulatory requirements, and Nepalese accounting standards.
• Experience with auditing, assurance, and compliance, preferably in a chartered accountancy environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
