Senior Accountant

About the role

Sunapati and Pathibhara Builders is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with VAT and tax regulations, and maintain accurate financial records. The role involves overseeing bookkeeping, reporting, and supporting budgeting activities within a construction environment. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers to align financial performance with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare, review and maintain financial statements and related records.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing and bank reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely submission of reports.
• Coordinate with auditors, vendors and internal teams on financial matters.
• Monitor cash flow and enforce proper internal controls.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Nepalese tax/VAT regulations.
• Detail‑oriented with good analytical abilities.
• Proficient in using computers and accounting software.
