Senior Data & Analytics Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a self‑driven Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will design, build, and optimise data pipelines that power business insights across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise end‑to‑end data pipelines and ETL processes for ingestion, transformation and integration from multiple sources.
• Manage and maintain data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring data accuracy, availability and security.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts and data scientists to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Implement data‑quality frameworks, monitoring systems and performance tuning.
• Contribute to data modelling, architecture and governance best practices.
• Support the creation of dashboards, reports and analytical models for actionable insights.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.

Required profile

• Strong experience with SQL and Python.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related analytics field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex data concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Data‑warehousing technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery.
• ETL tools like Apache Airflow, Talend or Fivetran.
• Data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and associated data services.
• Familiarity with big‑data technologies like Hadoop, Spark or Kafka.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling concepts and data architecture design.
