Senior Finance Officer

About the role

Genese Solutions is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to support its global finance team. Reporting to the Global Finance Manager, the role bridges entry‑level accounting staff and senior finance leadership, focusing on vendor finance, cloud billing data, and intercompany reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Support global cloud and software vendors (AWS, Google Cloud, Zoom) with invoice matching, billing queries, and payment status coordination.
• Extract, verify, and compile usage data from multiple cloud portals into clean billing master files and calculate month‑end unbilled expense accruals.
• Post intercompany transactions, perform balance reconciliations, and prepare intercompany schedule reports for the Global Finance Manager.
• Assist with month‑end close, draft preliminary P&L, balance‑sheet, and cash‑flow schedules, and contribute to variance analysis for cloud usage trends.
• Supervise junior bookkeepers, ensure quality control of ledger entries, and support RevOps and FP&A initiatives through data analysis and forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; partial ACCA/CA/CPA qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reconciliations, or vendor finance, preferably in an IT/SaaS environment.
• Strong attention to detail, professional communication skills, and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic automation).
• Familiarity with cloud‑based accounting systems such as Xero or Tally ERP.
• Ability to navigate and extract data from cloud vendor portals (AWS, Google Cloud, Zoom).
