Senior Network & Systems Engineer

About the role

Genese Solutions is seeking a Senior Network & Systems Engineer to support the infrastructure and cloud operations team in a banking/financial services environment. The role focuses on enterprise networking, systems administration, AWS infrastructure and production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, subnets, route tables, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, security groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway and overall network connectivity.
• Support connectivity between AWS environments, on‑premises networks, data centers and third‑party services.
• Perform Linux and Windows systems administration including provisioning, patching, monitoring, performance troubleshooting and security hardening.
• Manage AWS IAM, IAM Identity Center/SSO, roles, policies, permissions and access controls across multiple accounts.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Support application and infrastructure deployments, production releases and environment changes.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, OS and access‑related incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in networking, system administration, AWS infrastructure and cloud operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.

Required skills

• TCP/IP, DNS, routing and network security.
• Linux and Windows administration.
• AWS networking services (VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway, VPN).
• Enterprise firewalls, VPNs and Active Directory.
• SIEM and vulnerability management.
• AWS IAM, IAM Identity Center/SSO.
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
