Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to own the quality strategy for our engineering team. This hands‑on leadership position will define testing processes, build automation foundations, and ensure reliable releases for platforms used daily by thousands of users.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements, identify gaps, and create comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases, covering functional, regression, integration, end‑to‑end, and performance testing.
• Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent.
• Establish automation standards, reusable components, and test data strategies across projects.
• Perform API testing, database validation with SQL, and manage defect lifecycle in collaboration with development teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software QA/testing experience, including at least 1 year leading QA strategy and automation initiatives.
• Hands‑on experience designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, risk‑based testing and quality engineering practices.
• Analytical problem‑solving skills with the ability to isolate and communicate defects effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering secure, high‑quality software; ISTQB certification is a plus.

• Manual testing techniques: functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, end‑to‑end.
• Test automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
• API testing tools: Postman, Swagger, JMeter.
• Test management platforms: TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM.
• SQL for data validation and backend testing.
