Site Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Site Accountant to handle the day‑to‑day financial operations of our construction projects in Surkhet. The role ensures accurate record‑keeping, cash management, payroll processing and compliance with tax regulations to support effective project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for all site transactions, including cash, bank and journal entries.
• Manage petty cash, prepare vouchers and perform regular cash reconciliations.
• Verify supplier invoices and process vendor payments according to company policies.
• Prepare and process payroll for site employees and laborers based on attendance.
• Maintain construction material records and coordinate inventory reconciliation with the store team.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and report cost variances.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, TDS and other applicable tax regulations, keeping supporting documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for the Head Office Finance Department.
• Assist internal and external audits by providing proper documentation and adhering to internal controls.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and responsible professional.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Good understanding of Nepalese tax regulations (VAT, TDS).
• Ability to work with cash, bank and payroll processes.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
