Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑stack Software Engineer to join Soliish’s Kathmandu office. You will build secure, scalable health‑tech applications that directly improve people’s sleep health.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain backend services using NestJS, Prisma and PostgreSQL (Aurora) with JSONB data modeling.
• Create performant, responsive user interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Implement secure APIs and access layers for sensitive health data, applying least‑privilege principles.
• Utilize Redis and OpenSearch for high‑performance querying and caching.
• Ensure system resilience, scalability and compliance through threat modeling, risk assessment and incident‑response readiness.
• Collaborate with product, design and machine‑learning teams on feature development and architecture decisions.
• Contribute to internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines and observability infrastructure.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of full‑stack development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in NestJS, React and API design.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, JSONB and hybrid relational/data models.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services, especially EKS, Aurora and IAM policies.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting or ML integration.
• Deep appreciation for application and cloud security, thinking like an attacker and building like a guardian.
• Interest in health‑tech, compliance or regulated environments.
