Accountant – Finance & Compliance (Kathmandu)

About the role

Kantipur Management Private Limited (KMPL) is seeking an Accountant – Finance & Compliance to oversee day‑to‑day accounting, payroll, cash‑flow, tax filings and statutory compliance for its hospitality operations. The role requires independent management of finance functions and close coordination with auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing and attendance tracking
• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements and cash‑flow reports
• Handle VAT filing, TDS deductions and other tax obligations
• Perform day‑to‑day accounting entries and reconciliations
• Conduct stock verification and inventory reconciliation
• Oversee annual statutory renewals and compliance activities
• Coordinate with external auditors and maintain accurate financial records

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an audit firm
• Strong knowledge of VAT, TDS, payroll, P&L and taxation
• Good command of MS Excel and accounting software
• Analytical, detail‑oriented with strong numerical skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and take ownership of tasks
• Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus

What we offer

• Salary range: 35,000 – 40,000 (based on experience and responsibility)
• Working hours: 10 AM – 6 PM, Sunday to Friday
