Accountant / Intermediate Accountant (Remote, Nepal)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant / Intermediate Accountant to join an Australian Chartered Accounting and Financial Services firm on a full‑time contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from home in Nepal while supporting a variety of client entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS, TPAR and payroll tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks, including Xero adjustments, Single Touch Payroll and account reconciliations.
• Develop work papers that support financial information and ensure compliance with tax legislation.
• Set up new entities and manage ASIC‑related workflows.
• Utilise multiple accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Reckon, Zoho, Now Infinity and Ignition.
• Communicate with the ATO and clients in real time, providing accurate information.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise article students as required.
• Assist with administrative and research tasks to support the team.

• Detail‑oriented and comfortable handling multiple client entities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Reckon, Zoho, Now Infinity and Ignition.
• Strong knowledge of Single Touch Payroll and payroll tax processes.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
