Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting activities and support our financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date accounting records, ledgers, and financial transactions.
• Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and file invoices, bills, vouchers, receipts and supporting documents.
• Perform regular bank, cash and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, following up on outstanding balances.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Maintain VAT, TDS and other tax‑related records and support tax filing.
• Manage petty cash and day‑to‑day expense monitoring.
• Support payroll‑related accounting and employee expense records when required.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers and internal departments.
• Support budgeting, expense monitoring and financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Good knowledge of Nepalese accounting practices, VAT, TDS and taxation.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally or Swastik.
