Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial activities for our multidisciplinary MEP projects. You will work on‑site in Birganj, collaborating closely with project and operations teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping records, post entries to ledgers, and track income, expenses, and assets.
• Prepare and review financial statements, manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Support audits and provide financial reports for management.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Swastik) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries accurately.
• Understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with project and operations teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in construction, engineering, or MEP‑related businesses is preferred.
