Accountant – Restaurant Finance Specialist

About the role

Oriental Kitchen is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to oversee daily financial operations of its restaurant. The successful candidate will ensure accurate bookkeeping, compliance with Nepalese tax laws, and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure precise financial records.
• Record and reconcile daily transactions, cash flow, and expenses.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage inventory records and coordinate reconciliation.
• Process vendor payments, payroll, and other payment requests.
• Conduct banking transactions, reconciliations, and cash management.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor budget utilization.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare and submit tax‑related documents and support audits.
• Help obtain tax exemptions or refunds where applicable.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of Nepalese VAT and tax regulations.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
