Administration and Finance Analyst (Roster)

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme is seeking an Administration and Finance Analyst for its roster. The analyst will support day‑to‑day financial management, administration, and operational activities of projects placed in Kathmandu or other provincial offices in Nepal.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations in line with UNDP rules, policies and NIM/DIM procedures.
• Process payment requests, disbursements and travel claims using the UNDP ERP system (Quantum).
• Maintain an internal expenditure control system and monitor financial exception reports.
• Track project budgets and expenditures together with the Project Manager.
• Conduct financial analysis of budget performance and support preparation of forecasts and disbursement requests.
• Prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations and consolidated reports for donors and the Country Office.

Required profile

• Experience in financial management and accounting within an international development context.
• Familiarity with UNDP financial rules, gender equality, social inclusion and protection standards.
• Ability to work under the guidance of a Project Manager and collaborate with project partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the UNDP ERP system (Quantum).
