Area Service Engineer

About the role

The Area Service Engineer oversees all authorized service centers within a designated region, ensuring consistent service quality, technical support, and customer satisfaction. This role involves regular site visits, troubleshooting assistance, and coordination with center managers to drive operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations of all authorized service centers in the region.
• Conduct regular visits to verify compliance with company policies, service processes, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to service technicians and workshop teams.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and escalate critical issues when necessary.
• Coordinate with service center managers to improve workshop productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor spare‑parts availability and work with relevant departments to minimise downtime.
• Perform service audits, prepare inspection reports and recommend improvements.
• Organise technical training and skill‑development programs for centre technicians.
• Oversee warranty claim processes and ensure adherence to company warranty policies.
• Analyse service performance, identify improvement opportunities and report to management.
• Maintain effective communication of service updates, technical bulletins and new product information.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and workshops remain clean and organised.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in automobile service operations or workshop management.
• Experience with authorized service networks is preferred.
• Valid two‑wheeler driving licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
