Assistant Manager – Production Planning & BOM

About the role

Brilliant Lighting is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead Production Planning and Bill of Materials (BOM) management. This high‑impact position sits at the intersection of demand forecasting, material coordination, costing and inventory control, offering significant ownership and visibility across the manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly production schedules based on sales orders, forecasts and capacity constraints.
• Monitor execution, adjust plans proactively and ensure optimal use of manufacturing resources.
• Create, maintain and version‑control BOMs for all product lines, coordinating changes with engineering, procurement and finance.
• Generate material requirements, work with supply‑chain teams to secure raw materials and manage shortages.
• Maintain standard material costs, support landed‑cost calculations and analyse margin impacts of BOM changes.
• Track finished‑goods, work‑in‑progress and raw‑material inventories, driving improvements in accuracy and working‑capital efficiency.
• Support new product introductions by preparing BOMs, material plans and pilot production schedules.

Required profile

• Ability to work with data, systems and cross‑functional teams to translate commercial demand into executable production plans.
• Strong analytical mindset for cost, inventory and performance analysis.
• Experience in coordinating material planning and managing BOM accuracy.
