Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will support the housekeeping leadership at the Himalayan Hideaway Resort in Pokhara, ensuring the property maintains high standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest comfort. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces while coordinating staff schedules and quality checks.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry teams, providing training and guidance.
• Coordinate staff schedules, room assignments and conduct regular quality inspections.
• Manage inventories of linens, supplies and liaise with external laundry services.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and collaborate with Front Office and Engineering.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding and performance evaluations of housekeeping personnel.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, health and safety regulations and housekeeping procedures.

Required profile

• Strong supervisory and team‑leadership abilities.
• Experience in laundry operations and handling linens.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Background in housekeeping or hotel operations, preferably in a luxury or boutique resort.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality or related field (preferred).
