Bar Attendant – Hotel Food & Beverage

About the role

The Bar Attendant will join the Food & Beverage team at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk, delivering warm, attentive, and personalized beverage experiences to guests. You will work in a dynamic hotel environment, supporting both regular bar service and event operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional service to guests at the bar and other assigned outlets.
• Take beverage orders accurately, prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks according to recipes.
• Assist with bar setup, mise en place, stock replenishment, and closing procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bar, equipment, and glassware.
• Check and restock bar supplies, garnishes, and glassware as needed.
• Collaborate with F&B, Culinary, Stewarding, and Banquet teams for seamless service.
• Recommend beverages and support upselling to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Handle bar equipment responsibly and follow food safety, hygiene, health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel or similar hospitality setting (freshers with the right attitude may be considered).
• Basic knowledge of beverage service, bar operations, cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and non‑alcoholic drinks (preferred).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple guest requests.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, workplace safety and responsible alcohol service regulations.
